CANCELLED: 2020 Claims and Recoveries Specialist Meeting

We regret to announce the cancellation of the upcoming Berne Union Claims and Recoveries Specialist Meeting, planned to take place on 15-17 April in London, UK

The Secretariat and UKEF regret to announce that the Claims and Recoveries meeting 2020 has now been officially cancelled.

As I’m sure you’re all familiar with the difficulties the Coronavirus Pandemic is creating for businesses of all kinds, the limitations presented to us in this case at this time has prevented the meeting from going ahead before the end of the year. Therefore, we will have a year gap in 2020 for the Claims & Recoveries gathering, however the secretariat will put together and share a business trends presentation on our website for all to download. We’ll also be exploring different options to host a potential webinar with the topic of the coronavirus and the impact it’s had on our members claims and recoveries. We will be in touch in the coming months with further information.

HOTEL RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS

Regarding your hotel room bookings at the Marriott Hotel, the Marriott have cancelled all room reservations (therefore you do not have to contact the hotel regarding your cancellations). As you’re aware the hotel cancellation policy of the Marriott was non-refundable, however UKEF have been successful in negotiating with the hotel that there will only be a 13.5% cancellation charge to your credit card given when making the reservation, which amounts to £25.65/night which will be charged on Monday 30th March (next week). We hope this is acceptable to you all.

For those of you who booked elsewhere we recommend to contact your travel agent or the hotel directly to make the cancellation.

DAILY DELEGATE RATE

For those of you who paid for your Daily Delegate Rate (DDR) via credit card, we will refund you the full amount over the next 5 working days. For those of you who sent the DDR via bank transfer, please reply to ncherry@berneunion.org with the bank details you wish us to send your refund to including – Beneficiary name / Bank Name / Account Number / SWIFT or BIC / IBAN

For those of you who have registered but not paid the DDR yet, please simply ignore and discard the invoice you received upon registration.

We’re very sorry we won’t be gathering together this year but we will be in touch with you in the coming months with an update of what to expect from the Berne Union Secretariat in terms of presentations / webinars.
