Based in Mexico City, Jesse leads research and real-time coverage of Latin America, specializing in trade policy, political risk, and capital flows. He brings a multifaceted perspective to the region, having served as a finance and politics reporter in New York and a research assistant at the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE).

Jesse’s professional background includes experience with the U.S. Treasury and the Institute of International Finance. He holds a master’s degree in Economics and International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
