Export Credit Greece
Export Credit Greece S.A. (ECG) is the state-owned export credit corporation that is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its predecessor started its operation in 1968. Its mission is to support Greek enterprises engaged in international transactions and investments. The main purpose of ECG is the insurance, reinsurance, co-insurance and the provision of guarantees and counter-guarantees for political, economic and commercial risks which are related to the export and investment activity, the general international activity of the Greek companies, as well as their subsidiaries or affiliated companies. ECG intends to provide financial tools for the development of the export business of Greek entrepreneurship and the internationalization of the Greek economy. The Company operates in accordance with national and European Union law and international agreements governing export credit organizations.
