Berne Union Insurers join World Bank to help small businesses in poorer nations

AXA XL and Liberty are among a group of 6 private insurers joining the scheme will provide up to $5bn in loans to help enterprises hit by coronavirus

The scheme mobilizes $2 billion in credit capacity under the IFCs Managed Co-Lending Portfolio Program (MCPP). The initiative will allow IFC to increase its medium- and long-term lending to commercial banks and non-bank financial institutions in emerging markets by up to $5 billion.
