IfTI Global Symposium
19 and 20 June 2018, at Offenburg University, Campus Gengenbach.

The Berne Union is delighted to collaborate with the Institute for Trade and Innovation (IfTI) at Offenburg University to present this high-level symposium, which will bring together experts from all corners of international finance to address the modernisation of the trade and development finance landscape. The meeting is intended to:
 
•    inform financiers and policy makers
•    improve knowledge and expertise
•    build bridges strengthening institutional collaboration

With the ultimate objective to move towards the creation of a dynamic marketplace for mobilising capital. 
 
Agenda and Participants
 
The programme currently has more than 40 confirmed speakers including Topi Vesteri (Deputy CEO Finnvera and Berne Union President), Hani Sunbol (CEO ITFC, Islamic Development Bank Group), Haje Schütte (Head of Division, OECD), Michiel de Vries (Global Head, ING), Anette Eberhard (CEO, EKF), Christoph Herfarth (Head of Division, Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy), Ratnakar Adhikari (Executive Director, WTO Enhaced Integrated Framework), Benedict Oramah (President, Afreximbank), Klaus Helsper (Head of Corporates, DEG) and many others.
 
The meeting format will include focused presentations and high-level discussions amongst a cross-industry panel of experts, as well as case studies, and opportunities for pragmatic discussion.

The booking price for the IfTI Global Symposium is € 249 including the full conference attendance as well lunches and refreshments, and the symposium dinner reception at Schloss Staufenberg.
