Export Credit / Direct Lending Knowledge Exchange & Discussion Forum

A one-day joint meeting between direct-lending eximbanks and insurers of export credit, hosted by the Berne Union and taking place on Monday 8th April, in Singapore, immediately prior to the 2019 Berne Union Spring General Meeting.
- Sunday 7th April: Registration open in lobby of Hilton from 17.00 - 19.00. If you cannot register between these times, it will be open again in the morning, before the meeting
Drinks and canapés will be served for participants, on the rooftop bar of the Hilton, from 19.00 - please join
- Monday 8th April: Registration opens in the morning. The meeting commences at 09.00 sharp and finishes at 17.00
All participants in this meeting are invited to attend the Berne Union Spring Meeting Welcome Drinks, following the meeting, from 19.00 on 8th.

The meeting is free to attend and invited eximbank participants are asked to RSVP by emailing Paul Heaney at the Berne Union Secretariat. Participants are responsible for making their own hotel and travel arrangements, but we have negotiated prefferential rates at the Hilton, and details of these, as well as visa and other logistics matters are available in the relevant documents below. Please note that the negotiated room rates and block booking are only guaranteed until 15th February. Booking after this is subject to availability, at standard rates.
Rationale & Objectives
The purpose of the meeting is to create a platform for engagement on issues of mutual interest between the different providers of export credits. The overarching objective of the meeting is to develop a more complete understanding of the export credit landscape and facilitate a mutually-beneficial exchange of knowledge between Berne Union Members, and counterparts from the eximbank community.
The format of the meeting will be a participatory roundtable discussion, including both broad strategic overview and detailed technical exchanges, explored through case studies. The latest agenda is available to download from the table below.
