Press Release

On Mfci-amsterdam-09-16onday 12 September 2016, members of the Berne Union, along with colleagues from ICISA, met with representatives from the Global Receivables Finance Industry at the FCI Head Quarters in Amsterdam, to discuss issues of common interest between the credit insurance and factoring industrues.

Factoring and Credit Insurance have a long tradition of cooperation and many Factoring companies are policy holders of Credit Insurance; but prior to this meeting there has never been a structural cooperation between the representative bodies from both industries.

The participants - including the BU, ICISA, Atradius, Euler Hermes, Coface and FCI - discussed topics of common interest such as advocacy, education, and raising awareness about the important role both industries play in financing and mitigating risks in open account trade activities.

Participants to the meeting agreed to organize a similar get-together every six months.

Further information about the FCI is available here: FCI - Association for the Open Account Receivables Finance Industry
